Donn T is no stranger to the music industry. She has a very impressive background. Not only has she written for the likes of Common, & Jill Scott, Donn has shared the stage with prolific artists such as Amy Winehouse, Little Dragon, Zap Mama, Nelly Furtado, Black Joe Lewis & The HoneyBears, John Legend, and her older brother Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson of the The Roots. Her music has been featured on compilations & films across the globe. "Grass is Greener" is a beautifully melancholic synth-soul number that is sure to please the broken beat & modern soul connoisseurs alike. On the first remix Leigh Darlow (The Layabouts) & Matthew Bandy (Limestone) have teamed up to form their new project - North of Center. The NOC mix flips the song completely, producing lush synths, a deep heavy bassline & floaty vocals which almost hark back to the days of big room music with a Deep House twist and underground sensibility. Matthew Bandy rounds off the package with a signature interpretation. His mix has a balanced combination of darker Detroit inspired sounds for the verse and lush analogue synths for the chorus that swim around his trademark drum programming. The mix takes its time to build a deep yet warm foundation for Donn T's vocals.
