Seamless brings some quality heat to warm up your winter. This time it comes in the form of Listening Satellites new EP Sun Mirrored Sky. After sending the demos through the label, A&R manager Graham Sahara began playing them at Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza, where the staff began asking the names of the tracks. When you consider how many tracks they listen to over the course of the summer, this speaks volumes about music on offer.
Listening Satellites is a recently created solo project of Scottish electronic producer Julien Bain. Based in Inverness, a small city on Scotland's northeast coast, Bain's work is an emotive and uplifting arrangement of beats and melodies, created by layering strings, piano and more unusual acoustic recordings on to a backdrop of analogue and digital synths.
The Sun Mirrored Sky EP takes an organic approach, featuring additional use of vocal samples and own recordings, this is a classy, emotive and with a timeless feel.
