Bass Elephants, neuraum and Tiger Records present the new single Lockdown (EAT.SLEEP.WAIT.REPEAT). This song wants to reflect the current situation in the club- and festival business. Based on the song EAT.SLEEP.RAVE.REPEAT by Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr, it becomes clear that all friends of club and festival culture only have the option to wait until ravening is allowed again.
The collaboration arose from the request by neuraum for a slogan to be printed on face masks. This task ended up with the “sick brains” of the two DJs Bernd Closmann and Stoyan Velkov. Both have been residents in the neuraum for years and together they form the DJ and producer duo Bass Elephants, that since shortly releases on Tiger Records.
After a short time (and a few Jägermeisters) the catchphrase EAT.SLEEP.WAIT.REPEAT. was born. It quickly became clear that this slogan could be used on a larger scale than just on masks. When club operators and DJs come together, it usually has to do with music in the end. So it was more than logical to convert this phrase into a song.
With this campaign, the song, the video and the remix contest, neuraum, Tiger Records and Bass Elephants not only want to draw attention to the actual dramatic economic situation of clubs, artists and employees, such as bar staff, securities, clerks, bar suppliers, ..., but also encourage people.
Everyone involved is looking forward to the moment when the "WAIT" can be replaced by "RAVE" and clubs can welcome guests again.
Until then, the new track should also be a reminder of the "good old days" and be a sign that neuraum, Tiger Records and the Bass Elephants, as well as all clubs, festivals and their artists, and employees, think of their fans and do their best to hold on.
