Sometimes songs are written for the writer and sometimes songs are written for the listener.
Decided was written for both. For me I struggled with depression after the loss of my husband and there were days that I couldn't see the goodness that life had to offer, and I would think about no longer being in the life I had. My mother said to me one day after telling her how I was feeling,she said' life would go on,but life would be very different without you in it'. It broke my heart to know that I would cause her the same pain I was currently feeling. I realized that there is nothing in this life that cannot be overcome, with help and love from your tribe you can go through anything. Writing this song is a call out to others that struggle with life, know this... life is beautiful even the crappy parts, there is beauty in it all
