Sky Covington is a Hamtramck, Detroit based artist who won the coveted Motor City's Jazz Vocalist of the year award 8 times, including in the most recent year. She also has her own radio show on WJZZ, and hosted a weekly event at the legendary Baker's Lounge jazz club.

She appears here under her world famous NIKKI O pseudonym (best known for classics on Mahogani Music, alongside the likes of Moodymann and Alton Miller), returning to Shadeleaf for this thatmanmonkz produced "Rough, Rugged, Raw" full length album.
