Mind, Body & Soul EP
Produced by Crue Paris
Shelter Records

Soulful House music’s current tunesmith, Crue Paris, whips up a batch of deep Afro Jazz goodies for our soulful imprint, Shelter Records.   The Mind, Body & Soul EP is a collective of four penetrative tracks that exemplifies the heartfelt expressions of the Afro Jazz House vernacular.
Alma Do Povo (The Soul) Scat is passionate, loving, sweet and tender, soft samba percussions, velvety flutes, and exquisite jazzy pianos atop the subterranean bass and stocky bottoms that form the groove.   At the midway point, the Brazilian-flavored femme fatale, Gail Lou, scats and scats and scats, killing it all the way to the end!
The second track entitled, The Body, is a piece of sleek jazz-stroked House music.  Paris and Shawn Lucas craft a host of beautiful sounds to create the deepest of moods.   Fervent percolating percussions, crashing cymbals and punchy bottoms drive the orderly moving bassline all layered underneath airy jazzy keys.  Funky electro stabs and sweet guitars appear at the right time creating an overall hypnotic feel.
Third up, Mind Body & Soul (the title track), comes equipped with deep sub-bass, an ear-grabbing vibes hook, bubbling percussions, and drums reminiscent of early Chicago House, with various keyboard sounds from intense jazzy organs laid over swirling airy synths to keys akin to Pat Metheny.  The ending breakdown is deliciously haunting.
The Alma Do Povo (The Soul) instrumental makes up the last of this fabulous quatrain.  Rest assured, the Mind, Body & Soul EP will hit home with Afro Jazz music lovers everywhere.
