Landsub debuts on Piston Recordings with the superb Stratosphere EP. Having began his music career in 2015 as a DJ, he soon found new ventures with composition which was influenced by his love of jazz, lo-fi and deep house. Previously known as Auxtail, he has released tracks on French record label Apnea. It was only in 2019 where the rebirth of Lansdub took place, bringing forth an ethereal sound known as dub techno. His debut release - Weeping Robots, on Plus Plus Records, went on to reach the top 15 Beatport charts in the month of April 2020. Great to have him on board.

Stratosphere opens the release, heralding in a hybrid blend of lo-fi beats and deep house grooves with sprinklings of organic flavour. Trippy pads and an intriguing narrative dominate the track as gritty beats fill the spectrum. Mirage is up next, a companion track to Stratosphere, it takes us to the next level with slow-burning, moody groover. Dissonant chords meander through as strolling beats form a rhythmic flow. A cool spoken word is prominent and lends to the darker nature of the track. Time Fluctuations rounds out the release, sticking with the trippy flavour and heavily effected spoken vocals. Dark, mysterious and haunting, the groove draws you in, raising eagerness to hear more. On the low-end, a plucky bassline drives the sound while crispy hats, sharp claps and muted beats force you to move. A top-notch cut that will not disappoint.
