Sweet Tears is the 1978 classic written and performed by the incomparable Roy Ayers (co-writer Roselle Weaver) from the epic "Let's Do It" album. Is a salute to an artist who especially for Brutha Basil has been truly inspirational in his life. Along with Kelvin Sylvester this collaboration features all live instrumentation as well Yuki Kanesaka with an amazing solo on the vibraphone, and an appearance by Dee Lavender on backgrounds with Kelvin. This song's been played by DJ Spinna during an international stream saluting Roy Ayers. And also played on the popular international stream of grammy winner Louie Vega.
