Bumpin' Soul returns on U2R with something of a vocal house gem. Taking inspiration from mid 90's classic funky and soulful house producers of the time, 'Twisted' is initially driven by a wonderful full vocal part which is underpinned with energetic slap bass, Rhodes chord loops and a super-infectious sax sample reminiscent of the time. The beats on the vocal version drive in classic style, interrupted by occasional edgy fills with the breakdown taking a gospel turn with church claps and a live vibe. The dub version rolls with the 'clappy' flavour, reducing the vocal parts and functioning more as a DJ tool with an extended intro, breakdown and outtro.
