We love an artist who is open about their musical journey. Many producers want to rip up all the "old" and create a new alias for their "new" sound as soon as they feel a slight change in direction. For us, this smacks of perfectionism and promotes unhealthy behaviour among artists. Skygroover unashamedly began life making EDM but discovered the joys of deep, musical, techy rhythms while living and making music in Brazil. The results of his newfound love were immediately apparent. We were lucky to hear "High" released earlier this year and loved its loopy heat and jazz chords. His follow-up, "Jazz Rhythm", is an equally sumptuous groove filled with clever Rhodes chords and wicked guitar licks.
