Made in South Africa a land rich with culture, history and talent. This is DJ Sonic, a DJ/ and Producer born and raised in the Republic of Soweto who has given us good reason to celebrate the evolution and preservation of the Deep House movement.
Commencing his love for DJing at the tender age of 11 Sonics career path would become influenced by the likes of DJ Bradley the late Khabzela and the Y-FM revolution of the 90s. His passion for learning and continuous improvement has catalyzed his development as a DJ and now a highly prolific producer with an amazing ear for musical instruments almost to the point of perfection. His 12 years in the business is a simple testament to what longevity and hard work propagates.
His recent work includes collaborations with the likes of MPumi, Hoodnatives, Deep Assassins to name a few with his debut release Ep entitled Why you follow ft. Funeka In 2012.
Today DJ sonic joins forces with the Afro Caribbean House label, JusVibe to launch the release of his newest Ep entitled Samba in Soweto an amazing deep house track that pays tribute to the true spirit and flavor of his homeland Soweto. Listeners of this Ep can look forward to a uniquely crafted sexy feel good track with clean instrumentals indigenous drum patterns fused with a twist of salsa that brings to life the desire to experience and enjoy all that Soweto has to offer. This Ep will definitely put listeners in the mood to party Fiesta style from sundown to sunrise.
