As far as the origin of the song, Ware shares his secret inspiration, The song was based on a true fantasy of winning the affection of a bartender at NYCs Club Cielo. She always dances behind the bar and has a lot of energy and is a crowd favorite. I speak to her from time to time at the club. I told her one day that I was going to win her affection and get her from behind the bar so we could dance. She smiled. The next day I was in the studio and reflected on that memory and that's when I started talking about the situation in the song and now the world knows.
The song eventually spirals out of control. The flurry of cross-eyed male and female back-and-forths sonically mimics two nightclub creatures whispering to each other. He whispers pleasantries. We were there to work on another song, but once I presented the concept to Vega for this current song, we got right to work and didnt leave until 7 a.m. It was a great session with ideas flowing from all over.
