Maalem Said Damir from Marrakech (aka Said Saghout), has a beautiful and unique voice. As soon as FnX heard it, on a track by his friend, the producer U-Cef, he was inspired – not only by the voice but by his love of spiritual Gnawa music – and decided to merge it with Afro House. This resulted in the track ‘Manayou’ which is dedicated to the memory of Gnawa ancestors arriving from Sub Sahara Africa.
