NY/NJ production duo MDW & Raul Soto release their debut single "Freedom House" on Kenny Dope's Dopewax imprint. They've seen previous releases on noted dance labels like Todd Terry's In House Records, Nervous Records, Mr V's Sole Channel Music, Jellybean Benitez's Fuego Recordings, their own Soul Flava Recordings and others, so we know we're in great company. Paying homage to an incredible decade of House music, their 90's-esque 4/4 rhythm slaps and bubbly bassline come complete with a full throwback preacher vocal production delivered by Raul Soto weaving throughout the MDW Jack Down Mix, and it's pure House-y bliss. On deck with some innovative re-rubs are returning producers William Rosario, who gives us a percussive body jackin' Chicago house mix honoring the sounds of the city, reminiscent of works by Steve "Silk" Hurley and Ralphi Rosario. South African maestro Cornelius SA show us his style by going in pretty deep with some seriously sexy house-laden pumps. Last but not least is an effective synthy deep tech house instrumental by EU/Moroccan producer, Walid Martinez. Whichever mix you choose, one thing's for sure.
