Making his Quantize Recordings debut, seminal house legend Sterling Void returns with “Sweat”, a brilliant dance masterpiece. Employing hard bass melodies and a stellar performance by vocalist Vincent Coleman, Sterling’s mix is a house lover’s call to the dance floor. Frequent collaborator Joe Smooth provides a deep, hard hitting remix that marks a darker take on Void’s anthem. Meanwhile, Quantize’s own DJ Spen lets loose a gracefully done soulful rendition of “Sweat”, complete with both vocal and dub mixes. And, not to be outdone, Quantize up-and-comer Kuest makes an appearance with his own take on Void’s track, adding a bassy, tech-house flair to the project. With a number of strong mixes from a range of contributors, Sweat feels like the right fit for a fiery summer.
