KEVIN NOWELL

Since the mid 90’s Kevin has been a major player in the southeast house music scene. Under the moniker Special K from 96 until 2003, Kevin could be seen weekly playing at raves and clubs throughout the mid west and southeast while holding down two of the most successful underground dance music nights in southern dance music history The Underground and The Boiler Room in Knoxville Tn.

By the turn of the century, Kevin was a founding member of Atlanta’s 4Deep crew whose legendary Connect parties helped expand the popularity of house music in Atlanta to a new generation.

Since 2009, Kevin has been back in Knoxville throwing frequent events under Art of House bringing some of the biggest names in house music to the city.

Today while still heavily involved with throwing Art of House events, Kevin continues to play select dates across the country and works closely with partner Rick Styles under the Art of House moniker on production. Keep an eye out for their tunes!
