Started out DJaying as a kid at the age of 15 in New York; hence the name Billy da Kid, Was Born William Perdomo in Cali Colombia but grew up in the 8o's in New York. Got the opportunity to experience the birth of B boy culture with electro and hip hop. A true pioneer of what is today House Music. Built a rep as the spanish Kid who "plays THAT BLACK music". I was one of the few dj's playing records from Chicago Traxx in Queens for years.Taking pride in a skill that most of us real D.J's call a "CRAFT" was able to perform mixes and blends at a level of professionalism that would be the equivalent of "live Remixing today". Considered a nerd by many and an innovative music lover made a mark in Brooklyn College as the only D.J that could play for all the ethnic groups(latin ,caribbean and jewish) w' out missing a beat and keeping them coming 4 more. Was part of the 91.5 allstars radio show hosted by Tony Tunes receiving accolades from such producers as K. C Flight and Chub Rock,then got into House music production in the early 90's, in 93 released The Lone Star Element on DogHouse Records from Dallas Texas and hit the top of the underground charts, House music stands as my biggest passion at the moment the many organic styles Soulful, Deep, Afro call my name to fuse them seamless together. In the last 10 years I played many lounges and clubs in NYC i.e: Soulgasm parties, also Sapphire lounge as well as One & One , and the yearly WMC in Miami are some places you can catch me Currently with a monthly party at the legendary LP & Harmony is one of the most sought out undergrounds parties in Brooklyn NY where you can hear my own productions and exclusive remixes.
