Artist
SPILTMILK
An integral part of Homebreakin Records, Spiltmilk is well known for house, disco, breaks, and hip hop sets all over Canada. In his 20th year as a DJ, Spiltmilk is still madly passionate about sounds, and he is proud to be following his life-long dream of starting a vinyl record label. MSLX will be Spiltmilk's continued legacy as an artist and as re-contribution to the music scene, helping local artists deliver their music to the world on plastic.
With the first three releases coming out in May, June, and July 2015, MSLX will be hot on the latest sounds & pressing them quickly onto 7 inch vinyl. House Mueslix is the motif for the label & will spill out a broad gamut of nutty and herby jams created from live guitars, bass, synths and other vintage gear. 2015 should see 6 MSLX releases pressed including artists such as Kojake, Rennie Foster, Spiltmilk & Toffa, Neighbour, and Tad Wily.
2014 was a stellar year for Spiltmilk with highlights including two months of tours of Brazil that included prominent events such as Tribal Tech Festival, Mistura Fina, Club Vibe, Sounds in the City, Radar Grooves, and Nu-Grooves. With so many collaborations down in the southern hemisphere, it will be an even more impressive year for releases. He is ecstatic to play Shambhala Festival in Nelson, and Basscoast festival in Merrit. He is a regular at many other special events around western Canada including the Homebreakin Body Language series in Vancouver.
