'Shine' is the highly anticipated and long overdue follow-up to Groove Junkies & Solara's chart topping 2020 hit 'I Am.' The opening lines "Don't let them tell you what you can and cannot do, Don't let them get inside your head" sets the tone and serve as a message to anyone who has second guessed themselves and bought into the external chatter that surrounds us. The bottom-line is the critics and the haters have ZERO power over you and your destiny! As Solara explains "'Shine' is an homage to self and coming to the realization there is a light that shines within." She adds "there's a line in the chorus - once you discover your shades & your colors you're gonna shine." Simply put, 'Shine' is a song of trusting your inner voice and ultimately living your best life.

The 1st installment of 'Shine' is best described as a bit of hybrid House. It features Groove Junkies 'Awakenings Mixes' which are hauntingly soulful and uplifting at their core, with atmospheric elements of Deep House and Afro-tinged percussion. Solara's heartfelt vocal flows and inspires in the manner we've lovingly grown accustomed to. There's a message in the lyric and the music, but make no mistake - 'Shine' will move you on many different levels!

The duo are no strangers to club land. They've had numerous dance floor assaults over the last 2 decades and have graced House music fans worldwide with songs and collaborations such as "Perception," "We Rise" w/ Opolopo, "For Those Who Know" w/ Reelsoul "Last Dance" w/ Grant Nelson, "Deeper" w/ Brian Tappert, "Lone Cat (Holdin' On)" w/ Ben Watt, Jus' Groovin'" and "Sunshine." Their imprint MoreHouse Records has consistently provided DJs and fans alike with a brilliant collective of singers, musicians, writers & producers who are featured throughout MoreHouses' impressive catalogue of songs. Recent releases like the critically acclaimed '20 Years of MoreHouse Records Vol 1 & 2' compilations, along with the #1 smash cover of the Ashford & Simpson classic 'It Seems To Hang On' indicate a label that's like a fine wine and getting better with age. 'Shine' keeps the label's tradition of releasing quality projects over quantity. We hope you 'feel' it as much as we do and thank you again for ALL your love & support!
